Understanding Your Options

What Is a Legal
Document Assistant?

A Legal Document Assistant (LDA) is a state-licensed professional authorized under California law to prepare legal documents at your specific direction.

We are not attorneys and we do not provide legal advice but we know California court forms inside and out. We prepare everything accurately, completely, and on time, so you can move forward with confidence.

Working with an LDA instead of an attorney can save you thousands of dollars on straightforward, uncontested matters without sacrificing quality or precision.

The Person Behind the Practice

Meet Charliana

Hi, I'm Charliana the person behind Three Keys Legal. I started this practice because I believe everyone deserves access to accurate, professionally prepared legal documents, regardless of whether they can afford an attorney.

I handle every case personally, from your first call to your final documents. No handoffs, no surprises just clear communication and meticulous preparation at every step.

I'm based in San Diego and serve clients throughout all of California. In addition to my work as a Registered LDA and Commissioned Notary Public, I am a UCLA certificated Paralegal, a Certified Divorce Coach, a Certified Co-Parenting Specialist, and a High-Conflict Legal Dispute Resolver bringing a uniquely comprehensive perspective to every client I serve.

I proudly serve as Secretary of the San Diego Paralegal Association and hold active memberships with the North County Bar Association, San Diego Family Law Bar Association, California Association of Legal Document Assistants, and the National Association of Legal Assistants.
